Prompt for Entry 5

This week we have the opportunity to connect with another Read 96 class, one which is also doing the blog project. As your instructors, we hope to give you an opportunity to connect, in this electronic space, with some of your fellow Fullerton College students.

Reflection Post
  • We are in the middle of our semester. This is often the time when students lose their momentum. We thought this would be a good time to reflect on a few things. How strong is your motivation for school right now? This week,  we want you to reflect on how strong your motivation is right now. Do you need to bolster it? If so, how will you do that? If not, what is keeping your motivation strong right now?
  • The post should have a 250 word minimum.
  • Label: Reflection
Calendar/To Do List:
  • Add this week’s schedule into your Google calendar and embed into a blog post
  • Add a “To Do” list.
  • Label: Weekly Calendar
Vocabulary
  • Continue posting three vocabulary words.
  • Add this week’s words to your vocabulary list in your blog sidebar.
  • Label: Vocabulary
Comments
  • Write 2 comments, 3 – 5 sentences each, on two of Ms. Bogan’s or Ms. Henderson’s students’ blogs. If you are in Ms. Bogan’s class, go to Ms. Henderson’s student list and vice-versa.
  • To select WHICH blogs to comment on, do the following:
    • Count what number YOUR blog is on the sidebar list of your instructor’s blog.
    • Comment on the two blogs that are the same number as you in the other instructor’s blog and the one directly below that.
    • If there is no corresponding blog, select the first one on the list that has the same last number as yours. For example, if you are number 24 on your instructor’s list and there is no 24 on the other list, go to number 4.
Due Dates

o This entry should be written by next Friday, 10 p.m., March 25th.
o The comments should be written by Sunday, 10 p.m., March 27th.
o IMPORTANT: Only comment on the corresponding reflection post, Entry #5, on motivation. If the blogs you are to comment on do not have theirs done by the due date, move on to the NEXT blog.
